SSWM Subsidiary and UNAM Launch Electric Utility Project

Posted on: Friday, 29 September 2006, 09:00 CDT

Sub-Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc. (OTCBB:SSWM), announced that its Mexico subsidiary company, Environmental Tec International, S.A. de C.V. (ETI), officially mobilized and opened its project office at the Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) generating facility at Nachi-Cocom, Yucatan, Mexico on Wednesday, September 27, to initiate the project work which includes multi-faceted soil remediation using conventional and proprietary SSWM technology for hydrocarbon cleanup.

ETI signed its $1.1 Million subcontract agreement with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) under a recently awarded new contract from the Federal Electricity Commission (C.F.E.) for one of its largest power generating plants in the south of Mexico. This facility was cited three years ago, by the office of Attorney General for the Protection of the Environment, for major violations of hydrocarbon contaminants.

Bruce Beattie, CEO of SSWM stated, "We are pleased to begin this initial CFE project with UNAM using the same proprietary technology recently recognized by government authorities for closing the first combination above-ground and underground remediation project in Torreon under the new promulgated regulations. CFE deserves recognition for undertaking this positive and committed initiative as a lead Federal entity to address historic pollution cleanup at its facilities and comply with the environmental regulations promulgated by the Mexican Republic."

Beattie continued, "This project will add revenue and gross profit in our new fiscal year and is an example of the significant strides and accomplishments we are continuing to reap in Mexico from our past efforts and ongoing business development on short term and longer term projects."
