Swagelok Company Names Director, Product and Market Development

Joe Patella has joined Swagelok Company as director of product and market development. In this role, Patella is responsible for leading Swagelok market teams who develop market strategies, services, and product promotions for general industrial markets including chemical, oil and gas, power, and alternative fuels.
Prior to joining Swagelok, Patella most recently served as chief operating officer for Libra Industries, an electronics contract manufacturer located in Mentor, Ohio. Previous positions include head of global research and development for Bailey Controls and president of ABB's U.S. division, where he was responsible for the chemical, biopharmaceutical, and oil and gas markets.
Patella is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering and a graduate degree in controls and systems engineering.
