Science Labs Show School Has Status
WORK has finished on refitting two science laboratories and a maths classroom at Exhall Grange School and Science College.
The refurbishment at the school, in Wheelwright Lane, Holbrooks, which caters for disabled pupils, followed the conferment of specialist science college status last year.
Staff believe it is the first special school in the country to achieve this particular status, meaning it gets extra funding, some of which went on the building work.
Richard Young, the head of science, said it would be hugely beneficial for pupils.
He added: “Since we became a specialist science college we have launched extra lunch clubs in science, gardening and information technology, improved facilities and introduced more interactive whiteboards.”
