Mexico: 11th Most Populous Country

Mexico is the 11th most populous country in the world with a population of more than 105 million people, according to a new government report.
El Universal reported Wednesday a report released by the National Population Council, or Conapa, showed Mexico had 105.3 million inhabitants at the end of June, 1.1 million more (1.09 percent) than in 2003.
The report also noted thus far in 2004, 398,000 more people emigrated from Mexico than entered the country.
In 2004, the country is expected to have an estimated 2 million births and nearly to 469,000 deaths, for an annual growth rate of 1.44 percent.
