Jacobs Receives Contract From San Luis Obispo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District

PASADENA, Calif., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that a subsidiary company received a construction management (CM) contract for the $180 million Nacimiento Water Project from the San Luis Obispo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District in California.
Company officials did not disclose the contract value.
Jacobs will furnish professional CM services through June 30, 2011 overseeing the performance of independent construction contractors to accomplish the portfolio of projects described in the effort. The Nacimiento Water Project is a regional conveyance facility to deliver up to 15,750 acre feet-per-year of raw water from Lake Nacimiento to communities throughout San Luis Obispo County. The project includes approximately 45 miles of pipe ranging from 12-inches to 36 inches in diameter, three water storage tanks, three pump stations, an intake facility at Nacimiento Lake, and appurtenances.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Allyn Taylor stated, "We are excited to partner with San Luis Obispo County to help implement their Nacimiento Water Project that will serve the future water needs of area communities."
