ENCINITAS, Calif., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Dudek today announced that Keith Babcock has joined the California-based engineering and environmental consulting firm to lead its Northern California environmental practice. Babcock is based in the Sacramento area.
"A major landowner developing a master-planned community and a local water agency general manager needing environmental permits to upgrade a pipeline face the same challenge of balancing regulatory compliance with the project's financial and scheduling constraints," said June Collins, Dudek's vice president and environmental services manager. "Keith brings 20 years experience providing practical, implementable environmental solutions to assist the developer and the general manager in achieving their project goals."
Dudek's Northern California office will focus on the Central Valley, the Sierra foothills and the greater Sacramento region.
"Dudek has extensive experience working in growth regions where projects combine challenging environmental issues with active and interested stakeholders," said Babcock. "We provide expertise in the traditional environmental services, such as CEQA/NEPA compliance, biological investigations and permitting, and habitat restoration, as well as newer services with a growing demand in California, such as noise analysis, urban/community forestry, and fire protection and prevention planning at the wildlands-urban interface."
Babcock has more than 20 years experience in wildlife biology, regulatory compliance and project management as well as a proven record of opening offices and building private environmental consulting practices. He previously served as a managing principal at a private practice environmental firm, where he managed its biological services operation and opened and built two regional offices. Babcock is a member of the Association of Environmental Professionals and several other scientific and business organizations.
