Caught Up in the Joys of Snow
By Katherine Cromer Brock, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Texas
Jan. 18–When Michele Humann moved to Texas from North Carolina 12 years ago, she kept her big metal snow shovel.
She and her three sons got a chance to use it Wednesday morning at their Richland Hills home, although it became more of a tool for throwing snow in one another’s faces than for clearing driveways and sidewalks.
Humann, 40, enjoyed watching Chris, 14, Marc, 16, and Robert, 20, play in the snow.
"Snow days are great. The kids have a blast," she said. "But they kept getting snow in my slippers. That wasn’t very fun."
