TSE, OSE Suspend Trading in Tanabe Seiyaku

Tokyo, Jan. 18 (Jiji Press)–The Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Osaka Securities Exchange briefly suspended trading in shares of Tanabe Seiyaku Co. starting 8:20 a.m. Thursday (11:20 p.m. Wednesday GMT).
The bourses took the step after the Nikkei business daily reported that the company and Mitsubishi Pharma Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corp. , are in the final stages of merger talks.END
