HKS Architects Expands Salt Lake City Office

Dallas-based HKS Architects Inc., a top-five architectural/ engineering firm, has expanded by more than 5,200 square feet at its 10 Exchange Place office location in Salt Lake City.

The firm, which moved to the downtown building in 2001, has since expanded five times. The latest expansion allows the 43-person office to lease the entire second floor.

The HKS Salt Lake City office, opened in April 1999, provides architecture, planning and interior design services to all types of projects. including commercial, education, hospitality and health care.

HKS has been a part of the Intermountain region for more than 40 years, completing in excess of 220 projects. They include the McKay- Dee Medical Center in Ogden, the Wells Fargo Center (formerly American Stores Company headquarters) in Salt Lake City and the Widtsoe Hall Chemistry Building at Utah State University in Logan.

The office's current work under way totals more than $500 million in construction for clients such as Logan Regional Hospital, Ballet West, The Boyer Co., ARUP Laboratories, Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Dixie Regional Medical Center and American Fork Hospital.
