American Water Presents United Way of Camden County With Donation of Over $110,000

United Way of Camden County (UWCC) President & CEO, Michael E. Moynihan, received a check for $111,306 from American Water President and Chief Executive Officer, Don Correll, on Thursday, January 18, 2007. The donation comprised employee contributions generated during American Water's annual employee giving campaign and the company match of one dollar per every employee dollar raised.
"American Water has a long history of supporting the United Way of Camden County," said Don Correll. "Our employees are committed to investing in programs that benefit our communities. The United Way of Camden County provides us with an effective channel to give back to the communities where we live and are privileged to serve."
"This generous donation from the employees of American Water proves the most valuable resource we have is people -- those whom we serve and all of us who volunteer, invest and work to create long-term change in Camden County," said Moynihan. "We appreciate American Water's ongoing commitment to our organization and are grateful for the employee donations and the corporate match."

Moynihan, president of the United Way of Camden County (UWCC), for the check presentation were UWCC Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Darry Oliver, UWCC Resource Development Manager Marilyn Ancrum, American Water President & CEO Don Correll and American Water Director of External Communications and Corporate Responsibility Kimberly Cooper, who led the company's fundraising activities.
