Judge is Keynote for Women’s Event

PROVO — The fourth annual Women in Leadership community service conference will be Feb. 10 at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.

The theme of the event, which will start at 8 a.m. in the Moot Courtroom, is “Your Voice Can Make a Difference.”

The 9 a.m. keynote address will be given by 4th District Judge Claudia Laycock.

Special guests include six high school senior girls and an adviser from each high school in Utah County. Three of the girls will be awarded $500 scholarships.

Workshops will be led by Marilyn Kofford, PTA education commissioner; Stella Walsh, a former Orem City mayor; Eileen Crane, a Utah Valley State College professor and Janene Baadsgaard, an author.

Utah Sen. Pat Jones, D-Salt Lake, will be the luncheon speaker.

Cost is $15. To register call Kathy at Bonneville Uniserve, 224- 2055, Ext. 101 by Feb. 8.
