DWR to Hold Two Public Meetings on Emergency Levee Repairs
The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) will hold the first of two public meetings on additional emergency levee repairs being conducted on the Sacramento River, Sutter Slough, and Steamboat Slough on Tuesday, January 30 in Rio Vista. The second meeting will be held Thursday, February 8 in West Sacramento.
Critical levee repairs on the Sacramento River, Sutter Slough, Steamboat Slough, and Bear River are a continuation of the critical levee repair program sanctioned under an Executive Order issued by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
DWR staff will deliver a comprehensive presentation, including information on levee repair sites, construction schedules, and related information. Following the meeting, key project staff members will remain on hand to address questions or concerns.
The meetings are open to the general public; no registration is required.
