Unipetrol (Czech Republic), petrochemical holding, has already sold its subsidiaries Spolana (Neratovice, Czech Republic) and Kaucuk (Kralupy and Vltavou, Czech Republic). Spolana was sold for CEK 1.2 bil to the company Anwil (Poland) in 2006, a subsidiary of the company PKN Orlen (Poland). PKN Orlen owns Unipetrol as well. Kaucuk was sold to the chemical company Dwory (Poland) in Jan 2007, which is the largest latex manufacturer and the key synthetic rubber manufacturer in Poland. Dwory has bought Kaucuk for EUR 195 mil, CEK 5.5 bil. It was originally offering only about EUR 150 mil, CEK 4.2 bil, for it. Unipetrol also agreed with Dwory to found a joint venture with Kaucuk. The joint venture should build a new unit for butadiene production for CEK 1.3-1.5 bil in Kralupy nad Vltavou, which should start to work in 2010.
