Light Dimensions Introduces RejuvaWand Non-Invasive Light Enhanced Skincare System for Home Use

Light Dimensions, a developer of restorative, light-based personal care products, understands the importance of tested and proven skincare. The study, which is being conducted by Dr. Leonardo Rasi, a Fellow with the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery and member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, was conducted to help further validate the benefits of using the RejuvaWand's restorative light-based therapy. The RejuvaWand is the first-ever, home-based, skincare solution to use both red and infrared light combined with a gentle massaging action to help reverse the signs of aging.
In January, Consumer Reports released the results of a study showing that some of the top rated skincare products on the market did help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles after a period of 12 weeks. However, the study reported that even the best performers reduced the average depth of wrinkles by less than 10 percent and stated that this was "a magnitude of change that was barely visible to the naked eye."
In sharp contrast, preliminary results from the RejuvaWand clinical study showed that participants who used the RejuvaWand for a period of at least 30 days reduced fine lines and wrinkles on average by 20%. A highly sophisticated optical device that can detect changes in wrinkle depth and skin roughness was used to acquire the statistics. In addition to regular exams, each participant was photographed using a repeatable photography station that allows for continuity and repeatability of lighting and position placement within each session and for each patient. Before and after photos as well as study methodology and results will be available in April.
