Sienna’s Smack Attack
FILM beauty Sienna Miller yesterday admitted taking a morphine pill to see what heroin felt like.
The actress stars as Andy Warhol’s muse Edie Sedgwick, in new movie Factory Girl. Sedgwick died of a drugs overdose in 1971, aged 28.
Sienna, 25, said: “I took a morphine pill, to feel what was a safe way of taking heroin. I didn’t really feel a lot.”
She also claimed that people took drugs because “they’re f***loads of fun”.
Her remarks were critised by drugs campaigners last night. Dr Paul Skett, of Glasgow, blasted the star’s morphine experiment as “completely irresponsible”.
He said: “Most people experiment with drugs because of peer pressure.
“To say it’s ‘fun’ is ridiculous and misinformed.”
Miller also revealed the “big black pants” outfit she wore to the Factory Girl premiere was a tribute to Sedgwick.
She said: “If anyone knew or had bothered to watch the film, they would have known that’s the sort of outfit Edie used to wear.”
