BEACHES and seawater near the site of a sewage spill were given the all-clear today.

An estimated 100million litres of sewage poured into the Firth of Forth from the Seafield Wastewater works in Edinburgh last weekend.

It saw people in the area barred from using the water all this week.

But environment experts said today tests had shown the water was safe to use.
