DWR Announces Public Workshop for Prop 50 Water Use Efficiency Grants

The Department of Water Resources (DWR) has scheduled a June 4, 2007, public workshop to discuss its Draft Funding Recommendation for the 2007 Funding Cycle of Water Use Efficiency Grants.
This program implements Chapter 7, Section 79550 (g) of Proposition 50, which provides funding for agricultural and urban water efficiency projects.
At the workshop, DWR staff will solicit public comment on the draft funding recommendations and will provide information on contract development steps for successful projects.
A list of recommended projects for funding will be posted on DWR web site www.owue.water.ca.gov/finance/index.cfm prior to the workshop date.

Public comment on the Draft Funding Recommendation must be received by 3 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2007. Comments received after the deadline will not be considered. Interested persons need not attend the workshop and can submit comments to:

The Department of Water Resources operates and maintains the State Water Project, provides dam safety and flood control and inspection services, assists local water districts in water management and water conservation planning, and plans for future statewide water needs.
