Evercore Partners Appoints Stephen P. Schaible As a Senior Managing Director
NEW YORK, June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Evercore Partners announced today that Stephen P. Schaible will join the firm’s Advisory business as a Senior Managing Director in September. He will be based in New York.
Mr. Schaible brings to Evercore extensive expertise in the energy and chemicals sectors. Most recently he was a Managing Director and head of Global Energy Investment Banking at Citigroup. Previously, he was Citigroup’s head of Global Chemicals Investment Banking. Prior to joining Citigroup in early 2001, Mr. Schaible was a Managing Director at J. P. Morgan & Co., where he worked in New York, Tokyo and London, in both mergers and acquisitions and industry coverage roles.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Schaible has advised many clients in the energy, chemicals, industrial and pharmaceutical industries, including ConocoPhillips in its acquisition of Burlington Resources; Lyondell Chemical Company in its acquisitions of ARCO Chemical Company and Millennium Petrochemicals; Crompton Corporation in its acquisition of Great Lakes Chemical Corporation; Dow Chemical in the creation of global joint ventures with Kuwait Petroleum; and Hoechst in the divestiture of its specialty chemicals business to Clariant.
