Windswept Environmental Group, Inc. Announces the Signing of a Contract With Battelle Memorial Institute for Testing of Its Improved Decontamination Process

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Windswept Environmental Group, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: WEGI) announced today that its subsidiary, Trade-Winds Environmental Restoration, has entered into a contract with Battelle Memorial Institute for technical and research services related to Trade-Winds’ improved decontamination process that it has used successfully to remediate anthrax.

The testing of the decontamination technology will be performed by Battelle’s Biological Research Center and these services will support our company’s attempt to trademark/patent the process to remediate facilities impacted by biological contaminants, such as anthrax. This process has also successfully been used with severe mold contamination”

This work is part of Trade-Winds Technology Development Program (TDP) which is a comprehensive effort that is overseen by Michael O’Reilly. TDP’s mission is to develop and advance Trade-Winds’ capabilities in specialized areas such as anthrax decontamination, and to solidify Trade-Winds’ position as a leader in first response services. The Company anticipates that the testing will be completed in approximately ninety days.
