U.S. Delays Shuttle Endeavour’s Flight to Iss By a Day
KOROLYOV, Moscow Region. Aug 5 (Interfax-AVN) – The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has put off a planned flight of U.S. space shuttle Endeavour to the International Space Station by one day to 2236 GMT on August 8, the Russian mission control said, citing a NASA notification.
“The Mission Control Center in Houston has notified the Russian Mission Control Center that the launch date of the shuttle is being moved by one day. According to NASA, the reason is additional tests are needed,” a spokesman for the Russian mission control, located in Korolyov, told Interfax-AVN.
The planned date for Endeavour’s docking with the station has been delayed by one day accordingly. “The docking is scheduled for Friday evening,” the spokesman said.
