Ukraine, U.S. To Continue Joint Space Exploration

KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine and the United States will keep joining forces in space exploration as part of a new international cooperation architecture that NASA is developing as a way of putting a new U.S. space strategy into practice, the Ukrainian National Space Agency said.

In the course of a seminar in Washington on November 15-17 arranged by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Ukraine was invited to take an equal part in shaping a new international space strategy and mechanisms for putting it into effect, the Ukrainian agency told Interfax.

During the seminar, which brought together 19 space agencies and governmental organizations from countries with national space programs, NASA presented its principles for putting the U.S. strategy into practice.

Exploring Earth, the Moon and Mars forms the core of the strategy, which is backed by the U.S. Congress.
