Russian Resupply Craft Goes into Orbit - Details of Parameters

Korolev (Moscow Region), 24 December [Moscow time]: At 0128 hours Moscow time [2228 gmt] the Progress resupply craft was successfully injected into its designated orbit. An ITAR-TASS correspondent has been informed of this by Mission Control Centre near Moscow.
The Progress M-51 separated from the Soyuz-U booster rocket at an altitude of about 200 km above the Earth and continued its mission to the International Space Station along the set trajectory.
The orbital parameters are as follows:
Maximum distance from the Earth - 245 km;
Minimum distance from the Earth - 193 km;
Inclination of orbit - 51.66 degrees;
Period of revolution - 88.59 minutes.
According to telemetric information, the flight is going according to plan.
