Russian Resupply Craft Launched on Vital Mission to International Space Station

Moscow, 24 December [Moscow time]: A Soyuz-U booster rocket carrying the Progress M-51 resupply craft on a mission to the International Space Station has been launched, Mission Control Centre has told an Interfax correspondent.
The spacecraft's injection into its designated orbit is planned for 0128 hours Moscow time on Friday [2228 gmt 23 December].
[A report by ITAR-TASS at 2222 gmt said the launch, which took place from Baykonur at 0119 hours Moscow time, 2219 gmt, was "successful".]
