Moscow, 28 December: Russian space industry enterprises have increased their output by 15 per cent this year, the head of the Federal Space Agency, Anatoliy Perminov, said on Tuesday [28 December].
"The space industry finishes 2004 with good results. Output has grown by 15 per cent, and labour productivity by 16.3 per cent. Average monthly wages amounted to R7,892 (284 dollars)," Perminov told a news conference in Moscow.
At the same time, the industry still has problems. "There are several serious enterprises whose financial and economic performance causes us concern," Perminov said.
The Federal Space Agency provides help to these enterprises, he noted. "Every month we work at about five enterprises that are lagging behind," he said.
