U.S. space agency managers are conducting a flight readiness review this week at the Kennedy Space Center to set an Atlantis space shuttle launch date.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration officials, space shuttle program managers, engineers and contractors will discuss the readiness of the Atlantis, its STS-122 crew and payloads to determine if everything is set to proceed for launch.
The space agency officials have scheduled a Friday briefing to announce the selection of the official launch date. The briefing will be broadcast live on NASA television.
