Posted on: Tuesday, 11 December 2007, 15:00 CST
The Astronaut Autograph Club (AAC) may just be the ultimate Out-of-This-World Gift this Holiday Season, offering an authentic autographed photo and personalized letter from a Hall of Fame Astronaut for each month of the upcoming year!
Children, young and old, will rejoice when they receive letters and photos from such legendary astronauts as Moonwalkers Charlie Duke and Edgar Mitchell; Mercury Astronaut Scott Carpenter, first Space Shuttle Pilot Robert Crippen and more explaining why they chose to reach for the stars!
No other gift offers the opportunity to become pen pals with American heroes who have proven the sky is not the limit. Through the AAC, the astronauts will share their personal triumphs and reveal what inspired them to literally travel out of this world.
Limited to the first 350 to subscribe, members will also receive two admission tickets to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex ($80 value), certificate of membership, archival photo box with protective sleeves, twelve 8x10" authentic astronaut autographed photos and personalized astronaut letters.
Subscriptions are available for a one-time payment of $499 or a recurring charge of $49.95 per month. Orders may be placed online at http://www.astronautscholarship.org/2008_aac.html or by calling 321-455-7014.
All proceeds go directly to fund scholarships for exceptional science and engineering students through the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. The Foundation awards 19 $10,000 scholarships annually and has awarded more than $2.5 million to students nationwide.
