Russian cargo spaceship docks with space station

MOSCOW, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) — A Russian cargo spaceship has dockedwith the International Space Station (ISS), the mission control center said on Thursday.

Following a two-day journey, the Progress-63 spacecraft will deliver 2.5 tons of equipment, fuel, food and water and some giftsfor the ISS crew members from their families such as DVD and CD discs, books and magazines.

The Progress M-63 spaceship blasted off from central Asia’s Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan on Tuesday.

This is Russia’s first launch of cargo spacecraft to the ISS in2008.
