BRIEF: County Suggests Courthouse Parking Alternatives

July 8, 2008

By The Fayetteville Observer, N.C.

Jul. 8–Having a hard time finding a parking space around the Cumberland County Courthouse?

Plenty of spaces are available but it may mean having to do some walking, county officials said today in a news release.

Spaces at the courthouse lot have been reduced because of repaving work, but additional parking is available.

About 175 spaces are in the lot between Gillespie and Dick streets and there are 190 more in a lot at First Presbyterian Church, which is across Person Street from the courthouse.

Parking also is available in lot near Kimbrell’s Furniture store on Person Street and in a parking area at the corner of South Kennedy Street, behind Tire Sales and Service.
