Space Launch Delayed

NASA yesterday delayed the launch of space shuttle Discovery for two months while checks are made on the external fuel tank, pictured orange, to ensure it does not shed ice on lift-off. Discovery had been due to fly at the end of May. The Columbia shuttle was destroyed in 2003 by a gash in the wing caused by debris from the tank during lift-off. All seven astronauts were killed
