Crowle and Winterton Fire Stations in Pounds500k Revamp
Revamps costing pounds500,000 for Crowle and Winterton fire stations will be revealed this month.
The two North Lincolnshire fire stations were given extensive facelifts following five-year reviews which highlighted a need for improvement.
They will be showing off their new assets at the end of the month when days are planned for invited guest to look round.
Glenn Ramsden, spokesman for Humberside Fire & Rescue Service, said: “The end result at both of the stations is stunning, and we are sure this long-term investment will be extremely beneficial to the fire crews.”
Crowle Fire Station, on Fieldside, benefited from pounds220,000- worth of new facilities, and repairs to Winterton Fire Station, on Earlsgate, cost pounds280,000.
An unveiling will take place on August 11 to selected guests when members of Humberside Fire Authority and the chief fire officer will visit the stations, meet the crew members and those responsible for the inished work.
Guests will be arriving at Crowle Fire Station at 11.30am, be given a tour of the newly modernised station and speak to some of the retained duty system crew before visiting Winterton.
The event is not open to members of the public, but both stations are planning open days when everyone will be welcome to look round, but no dates have yet been set.
