Cab Rocks Park Life

August 18, 2008

By Richard Hammond

DRIVING’S great, isn’t it? The thrill of the open road, man and machine in perfect harmony, real freedom – until you need to park.

Now Audi has solved that misery. Its new A3 Cabriolet has sensors which seek out parking spaces. As long as you’re not doing more than 19mph, the system will spot a space and let you know. And then it steers you in – the driver just does the brakes and throttle.

The gadget costs pounds 725. So, to tell you the truth, at that price I’ll stick to using my eyeballs.
