Lobo Fans Can Catch a Ride To Football Games
By From Journal Reports
Mayor Martin Chvez and University of New Mexico president Dr. David J. Schmidly announced an agreement to provide shuttle service to all Lobo home football games during the 2008 season.
Special parking lots will be set up, and bus riders will be dropped off at the front door of the stadium. UNM will be working with APD to allow the buses easy access in and out of the game.
“Sitting in traffic and trying to find a place to park is not a way to start an evening,” Schmidly said. “We want to provide a stress-free ride, and this will be especially convenient for people who have difficulty walking a long distance since parking can be hard to find.”
The parking shuttle will be at Lot T at Lomas and University. A representative from UNM will be selling tickets at that location for the shuttle for $3 for each game, or $12 for a season pass. The bus service will begin two hours before kickoff.
