North Museum To Celebrate Nasa
The North Museum of Natural History & Science, 400 College Ave., will be hosting an “out of this world” Family Science Sunday on Oct. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m., as the museum celebrates the 50th anniversary of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, better known as NASA. Paul Crawford, one of two chairmen for the Safety and Engineering Review Panel for NASA’s Constellation Project, will be speaking at 1:45 and 3:30 p.m. He’ll discuss the possibility of human exploration to Mars and other NASA missions.
At 1 p.m., the planetarium will present “The Super Sky Show.” Tickets are required. Visitors can also participate in a variety of activities throughout the day, including making sundials and using a solar telescope. There will be a birthday cake and visitors can sign a birthday card. Admission to the museum is $7 for adults, and $6 for juniors (ages 3-17) and seniors (65 and over).
