NASA Kennedy Space Center has selected Harris Corporation's OS/COMET telemetry, tracking, and command software for the constellation launch control system.
According to Harris, its OS/COMET telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) software provides TT&C capabilities for military, intelligence, and commercial satellite constellations. The OS/COMET product is expected to deliver critical command and telemetry processing services to meet the needs of the launch control system architecture.
Frank Rensselaer, vice president and senior executive account manager for NASA programs at Harris, said: "Harris has a 50-year legacy with the NASA mission to complement more than two decades of successful TT&C deployments supporting commercial and defense spacecraft. OS/COMET is the lowest risk COTS launch control choice for constellation."
