Joint Control Over Iss Resumed - Russian Flight Control

KOROLYOV (Moscow region). Sept 28 (Interfax) - Russian Flight Control in Korolyov near Moscow and the NASA center in Houston, Texas, as of Wednesday have resumed joint control of the International Space Station (ISS), spokesman for Russian Flight Control Valery Lyndin told Interfax.
"The NASA center in Houston was temporarily evacuated due to Hurricane Rita on September 22, and the Russian center was put in full control of the flight. Today, the need for such an arrangement has disappeared because the center in Houston has resumed regular operations," Lyndin said.
Now both centers oversee the flight of ISS with a team of NASA experts working in Korolyov and a Russian team, in Houston, he said. During the interruption due to Hurricane Rita, the American team in Korolyov was reinforced by personnel from the United States.
"The docking of the spaceship Soyuz TMA-7 with ISS is planned for October 3, " he said.
