Russia Plans Three Space Launches From Baikonur In December

MOSCOW. Nov 26 (Interfax) – Russia is planning three space launches from Baikonur in December, the press service of Russian Space Forces told Interfax on Tuesday.
“Three satellites of the GLONASS navigation system will be launched on December 10 with a Proton-K heavy launch vehicle and Briz-M booster,” a spokesman said.
A Soyuz-FG launch vehicle is expected to take off on December 25 carrying the Israeli Amos-2 commercial communications satellite.
An Express-AM-22 will be launched on December 29 with a Proton-K booster.
Meanwhile, a source at Baikonur told Interfax that a converted RS- 18 ICBM with a mockup of a spacecraft will make a test flight in December as well.
