Text of report by Russian news agency ITAR-TASS
Moscow, 12 January: The pressure loss on the International Space Station is due to a crack in the external insulation of a floodlight on the American Destiny [laboratory] module, NASA’s office in Moscow has told ITAR-TASS.
There has been a gradual decay in pressure aboard the Station since the end of last year at the rate of 1-1.5 mm [timescale not specified].
[According to the NASA website, the decay is "a few hundredths of a pound per square inch (psi) of pressure per day".]
