Esa, Russian Space Agency Discuss Cooperation

MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) – The European Space Agency (ESA) and the Russian Federal Space Agency are working on a launch system for the Soyuz ST booster at the ESA Guiana Space Center, ESA Director- General Jean-Jacques Dordain said after meeting with Russian Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko on Thursday.
The agencies are also discussing a number of other projects, Dordain said.
Dordain said cooperation between the agencies has two purposes: to ensure the functioning of the Russian and European industry and to design new boosters.
