European Space Agency Ponders Integration With Russia

MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) – The European Space Agency is considering integration with Russia, European Space Agency head Jean- Jacques Dordain said on Thursday.
He said they were considering a reliable basis for interaction between the European Space Agency and Russia, as there is a need for a joint aerospace strategy.
Russia should enjoy a special status before it becomes a full member of the European Space Agency, he said.
Russia is actually half of Europe, and the capacities of the Russian space industry exceed the capacities of all the member countries of the European Space Agency, he said.
