First Russian Rocket To Be Launched From Kourou In 2006

MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax) – The first launch of Russia’s Soyuz satellite carrier rocket from the Kourou space center in French Guiana has been scheduled for December 1, 2006, the European Space Agency said.
ESA General Director Jean-Jacques Dordain said construction of launch facilities would start in June or July 2004.
