MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - Russia is developing a new space transportation system made up of a Kliper space shuttle and a new cargo delivery vehicle Parom, Deputy General Designer of the Energia Aerospace Corporation Nikolai Bryukhanov told Interfax on Monday.

"Our company is working on the Kliper space shuttle. It is a very promising project, which can replace the existing space transportation systems in the future," he said.

He said they could design the spaceship within five years if they had enough funds. At present, the project is mostly being financed by the Energia Corporation, while the government's share in financing is much smaller, Bryukhanov said.
