Decree Passed on Russian Federal Space Agency

MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax) - The Russian government has approved a decree concerning the Federal Space Agency (FSA).
Under the decree, the FSA is entitled to license operations in space and, before amendments are made to the legislation on licensing certain activities, the FSA will issue licenses for development, production, repair and cannibalization of weapons and materiel in its field of authority, reads a press release from the government's press service.
The governmental decree also allows the FSA to cooperate with the Russian Defense Ministry in placing defense orders for development, production and delivery of dual-use spacecraft and space infrastructure. The decree also approves the plan for launching social and economic, scientific and dual-use space vehicles, including the ones to be launched in the interests of international and commercial space projects.
