NASA Astronaut to Speak at Seattle Dinner

HOUSTON, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- NASA astronaut K. Megan McArthur will be the keynote speaker at the Northwest Forum's Monthly Dinner Series in Seattle. She will share her experiences as an astronaut and discuss NASA's space programs.

McArthur was selected as a mission specialist by NASA in July 2000. She served as the crew support astronaut for the Expedition 9 crew during its six- month mission aboard the International Space Station. She works in the Space Station Mission Control Center as a capsule communicator. She will serve in technical assignments until assigned to a spaceflight.
McArthur will be available for media interviews during her visit to Seattle.
