Equipment Failure Causes Loss of Contact With Russian, US Astronauts

Communication was lost for 20 minutes during a spacewalk by the astronauts [Russian Gennadiy Padalka and American Michael Fincke]
. The International Space Station temporarily lost its orientation. According to preliminary information, this happened because three US (?gyrodynes) had been overloaded. [Russian] Mission Control Centre specialists had to switch on the Zvezda module's engines and after some time the station's orientation was restored.
