Walker on Top 100 List in Space News

Former U.S. Rep. Robert S. Walker was recently named by Space News as one of the top 100 people who have made a difference in the civil, commercial and military space industry in the past 15 years.

Walker, who chairs the Wexler & Walker Public Policy Associates in Washington D.C., has been a longtime proponent of space exploration. Walker, who represented Lancaster County in Congress for nearly 20 years, chaired the House of Representatives Space Committee during his last years in Congress.

“It is such an honor to be recognized in this way by my peers in the space community. I can’t think of a more exciting time to be involved in space exploration than the present,” said Walker.

President George W. Bush tapped Walker in 2001 to chair the Commission on the Future of the United States Aerospace Industry. He was tapped again earlier this year to head the President’s Moon to Mars Commission.
