Ex-Clinton Adviser to Speak at Weber on World Economics
Laura D’Andrea Tyson, former national economic adviser to President Clinton, will be the speaker at the first-ever Vernon M. and MaRee Buehler Leadership Lecture at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Val A. Browning Center, Austad Auditorium, at Weber State University.
Tyson will discuss global economic issues.
Her presentation is sponsored by the university’s John B. Goddard School of Business and Economics and the Ralph Nye Lecture Series.
Tyson also was the first woman chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisors, the first woman dean of the London Business School and is a former dean of the Haas School of Business at the University of California-Berkeley, author of “Who’s Bashing Whom?” and a columnist for BusinessWeek.
Free parking will be available at the Dee Events Center with an express shuttle to the Browning Center at 11 a.m. A return shuttle will run until 1:30 p.m.
