Moscow, 22 September: The launch of a Soyuz craft carrying the 10th main expedition to the International Space Station [ISS] has been postponed for 48 hours [possibility of this was reported earlier].
As reported to ITAR-TASS by Vyacheslav Davidenko, an official representative of the Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos), "this decision was taken today by the council of chief designers".
"The launch of the Soyuz TMA-5 has been switched from 9 to 11 October," he said.
Davidenko explained the reason for the change to the launch date by saying it was caused by "a hitch in preparing the craft for launch caused by having to put right a fault in the ship's docking system".
