Russia to Launch German Satellite on July 1

MOSCOW. June 25 (Interfax-AVN) – Russia will launch the SAR-Lupe satellite on July 1 and this will be the second German spacecraft to be launched by Russia, Space Forces spokesman Alexei Zolotukhin said on Monday.
The SAR-Lupe will be carried into space by a Kosmos 3M rocket from the Plesetsk cosmodrome near Arkhangelsk, he told Interfax- AVN.
The Space Forces successfully launched the first SAR-Lupe satellite on December 19, 2006.
