Taking advantage of NASA's 'Operation Ice Bridge' campaign, measurements of Arctic sea ice have been made from an aircraft flying directly under CryoSat-2's orbital path.

The start-up company Star2Earth, reared in the ESA Business Incubation Center in the Netherlands, will improve electricity production from a hydroelectric plant on Lake Laja in Chile by using navigation satellite signals to measure water levels and wave heights.
