TomTom GPS Watches have been voted the best GPS fitness watch for women by the testers at the Heart Rate Watch Company.
"This selection was made easy by the fact that the watch is light, thin, stylish, and has very simple, single button navigation," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "The watch also acquires satellites in under 10 seconds, which is faster than any other GPS watch."
Size and fit have always been two things that the majority of GPS fitness watch manufacturers have failed to solve for women. "This is where the TomTom Multisport GPS watch and the runners watch are brilliant," says Squire. He adds, "They are about half as thick and weigh a mere 1.85 ounces, which is over 1 ounce lighter than many of the current GPS watch options."
"I test a lot of GPS watches every year and this was hands down the easiest one to figure out from the initial start up," says Squire. He adds, "I had the navigation menu all figured out in about 10 minutes, so the typical multi-day learning curve was non-existent."
"The single button acts like a joystick and is a refreshing break from 5 button watches," says Squire. He adds, "The button is so easy and intuitive to use that it makes navigating quick and seamless, I never felt like I was fumbling for buttons."
RUNNER and MULTISPORT VERSIONS
The TomTom Runner GPS watch will calculate speed, distance and heart rate measurements for runners. Both watches can also be placed in an indoor workout mode that doesn't require GPS. The TomTom Multisport GPS watch does swim, run and bike functions, along with a mode for indoor exercise.
The TomTom Runner GPS watch costs $169 without heart rate and then $219 with heart rate in colors of grey and dark pink. The TomTom Multisport GPS watch costs $199 and $249 with heart rate with the same color combinations.
"If you need assistance in determining which heart rate monitor or GPS watch is right for you then simply call us at 866-586-7129," says Squire. "We test, use and know these products cold so we can give you real help."
